上(うえ)

Kanji Character

Here’s my first kanji character! 上(うえ/ue) means above or up.


上(うえ)

As you can see, I wrote 上 slanted so it looks off.


Stroke order:

  1. Top small horizontal line from left to right.
  2. Vertical line down
  3. Horizontal line from left to right. However, the bottom horizontal line is slightly curved upwards, like a tiny unhappy face 「;(」 but not too much.

I crossed off my name, but the bottom left side is where you write your name. The seal goes below your name. I chose the red ink, but you can use any colored ink. I’ve seen some of my classmates use green, pink, and black.
